It’s leading up to the festive season and the time of year where Xmas shopping is coming around fast. If you are anything like me, I like to be prepared and not be rushed, leaving things last minute so that I can enjoy ultimate ZEN time on Christmas Eve
— that’s when we celebrate and have Xmas dinner with family and friends.
HOW TO GET THAT PERFECT GIFT?
But, here we are, back in the grind of choosing and getting random skincare, wrapped in beautiful gift boxes and freebies handed out like there is no tomorrow. How often do you get stuck, wondering what on earth to purchase to then get pulled in the attractive cosmetic and skincare kits on display in department stores or superstores? Wrapped in beautiful boxes, ribbons, flashy and radiant displays, twinkling under the Xmas lights …
During the lead up to Christmas, the nostalgia and festive season are starting to take over. It’s hard not to get overwhelmed and splurge on techie products (I didn’t know I needed!), the gadgets (I never knew existed!), and not to mention the gorgeous bundles of beauty and cosmetics attractively priced.
And you think you are doing the right thing.
How often have you purchased skincare bundles for someone or yourself because the price seemed right, or it had a beautiful cosmetic case, the product or packaging looked so attractive, and free accessories/cosmetics anyone? (even if it’s a product you don’t need, heck it’s not even right for your skin, but it’s free, right?)
So, no skincare and no cosmetics this Christmas? Hmm, preferably not the skincare or the green, ‘natural’ products (9 times out of 10 they are not so natural and skincare friendly as they may sound…) The generic gift sets you find in department stores, etc. aren’t the BEST gift ideas when it comes down to skin health.
Your skin or your loved one will NOT enjoy these, and when suffering skin conditions or having skin concerns, their skin will pay the price. You won’t be saving on skincare. Ultimately, your paying price is high, and your skin will be worse for wear.
During my skin consultations, I frequently come across clients who purchase the wrong cosmetics & skincare. These are too often the culprit to skin problems and can aggravate pre-existing conditions. Let’s take the guessing work out the skincare shopping and leave it to an expert.
Go to your local skincare expert. They will be more than happy to help.
Know your skin inside out and know what’s right for you.
Happy shopping!
